HUANG Youwei

Born in 1965, from Yueyang, Hunan Province, China. A member of the China Artists Association, he is a top-tier watercolor painter in China.

Huang Youwei is the main lecturer for watercolor courses, a mentor in the Painting and Calligraphy Advanced Research Class at Tsinghua University, and a tutor at the Watercolor Creation Studio of the China Central Radio and Television University School of Painting and Calligraphy, as well as a visiting professor at Hunan Xiangnan University.

His representative works include "Beijing Hutong," "Rose Flowers," "Flowing Streams in the Mountains," and "Mountain Flowers and Wild Grass." His artworks are praised for their elegant and fresh style, filled with sunshine and morning air, exhibiting a distinct artistic style and superb painting techniques, thus earning the admiration of art enthusiasts both domestically and internationally. He is hailed as one of the representative painters of contemporary Chinese new realism watercolor painting.

He has published numerous art books including "Selected Works of Huang Youwei's Watercolor Paintings," "Selection of Huang Youwei's Watercolor Works," "Analysis of Watercolor Painting Techniques," "Chinese Modern and Contemporary Masterpieces: Selected Works of Huang Youwei," "Beauty of Ancient Capitals" calendar, "Huang Youwei's Watercolor Beginner's Course," "Blossom," "Rose: Huang Youwei's Watercolor Rose Course," "The Secret of Roses," and the "In Painting" series of art albums.
